Thailand's New 60-Day Visa Exemption - 2024

Thailand has increased the number of countries eligible for visa exemption from 57 to 93. This is part of a new visa promotion to increase Thailand's tourism industry and providing benefits to all of you, take effect in 15 July 2024.

Previously, Thailand allowed only a 30-day visa exemption for 57 countries. You can extend your stay by another 30 days in Thailand, allowing for a total stay of up to 60 days each time through visa exemption.

Now, starting July 15, 2024, citizens of 93 countries will enjoy a 60-day visa exemption each time! No need to apply for a 60 day tourist visa.

Just pack your bags and fly to Thailand - no need to apply for any visa if your country is in the list below.

When Does It Go into Effect?

Effective date July 15, 2024.

How Long Can You Get An Extension in Thailand?

As same as usual, you get another 30 days visa extension by contacting at Thai Immigration office.

There's no need to apply for a 60-day tourist visa anymore, which is great for you who want to stay up to 90 days in the kingdom without visa hassle. Additionally, the same requirements as for the 30-day exemption still apply.
