My "cheap bastard" monthly budget in Thailand

I've been living for about 7 years in Thailand now.

And I always lived waayyyy below my income, but also in a very comfortable way. (No fan room here). So lets check out my real monthly numbers in USD:

• Rent: $400 - 150 square meter Townhouse in Bangkok (I don't like condos)
• Food: $400
• Housekeeper: $400 (comes 3 times a week)
• Transportation: $200
• Electric Bill: $60
• Internet at home: $20 (1 Gigabit speed)
• Phone service: $15 per month

So those are the everyday stuff, what about the other stuff?

• Medical/Health: $200 (amortized)
• Shopping: $300
• Travel: $200 (hotel and flights - amortized)
• Immigration fees: $150 (amortized)
• Entertainment: [redacted]

That's more or less it, outside of rare emergencies.

I might share my entertainment budget one day if y'all ask nicely.

Thailand is great to live on a budget. Whether you want to cheap it out like me, or live like a baller -- there is everything for everyone. I know people who spend tens of thousands every month.

But I have a philosophy, I should never have to think about my daily expenses, ever. No matter how much I earn, so I always sort it out based on my income.
