Don't get a Thai girlfriend... yet

You're ready to live in Thailand.

But at top of your mind is "Can i find a girlfriend?". 

So as soon as you exit the airport you start looking.

STOP.

Here are 3 solid reasons to delay...

Settle in First
You just arrived in Thailand. You have not built a castle. You have no power. You have no base. You know nothing. Build your castle. Get to know some Thai culture. Decorate your condo. Get to know places that you can take her to. Don't be the idiot that is asking her where she wants to go. All this stuff is best done by yourself first.

Find your Purpose
Right now, your purpose is just to get to know Thailand. But unless you have a deeper purpose, you're gonna be bored easily and start to pick up some bad habits and vices. Figure out what you want to do with your life first. Or she will make her your purpose -- which would be very bad.

Find the right Girl (or guy)
99% Of the time your first few Thai relationships are going to be terrible. Because the first people you meet are going to be looking hard for someone for support, not to love. There are plenty of fantastic women in Thailand and you'll meet them, but it takes longer, and the best ones require you dig into Thai culture a lot more than just going from the airport to Sukhumvit.

"But wait Ericson, can I just casually date?".

SURE.

I'm not saying you can't. I'm just saying don't get your heart broken before you know how to say ฉันรักคุณ.
