Who needs this service and why

You need this service if you are travelling to New Zealand from Thailand and your passport requires a visitor visa. Thai nationals are in this group, and so are many foreigners living in Thailand whose nationality is not covered by an NZeTA. We confirm which route applies to you before anything else.

New Zealand asks a longer financial question than most countries. Where Australia and Canada want three months of bank statements, Immigration New Zealand wants six. That longer window rewards applicants whose savings have a visible history, and it means the preparation for a New Zealand application usefully starts earlier than for most.

The second thing New Zealand weighs is your reason to return. For foreigners living in Thailand this deserves particular care, because the officer needs to understand not just that you will leave New Zealand, but specifically what brings you back to Thailand. We build that part of the file deliberately rather than in passing.

What the visitor visa gives you

You cannot work on a visitor visa. You may study for up to three months. Which of the two visa types suits you depends on whether you plan one long trip or several shorter ones, and we recommend the one that matches your actual plans.

Who this is for

Requirements

1. Personal documents

2. Financial documents

3. Employment, study or business evidence

If you are employed:

If you are a student:

If you own a business:

4. Proof of ties and evidence of return

For foreign nationals living in Thailand, this section carries real weight. Show clearly:

5. Travel documents

6. Proof of relationship

How it works

First, we review your six months of banking and the rest of your documents. We go through the statements the way an immigration officer will, looking at how the balance was built and whether the income matches your declared work. Where there is a large deposit, we tell you exactly what documentation will evidence its source. We do the same across your employment, travel and relationship documents, confirm what you already satisfy, and give you a clear list of anything else worth obtaining and where to get it.

Second, we build and lodge the application. We complete the online application, prepare the employment and leave evidence in the format Immigration New Zealand expects, document your connections to Thailand, and assemble the relationship evidence where family are involved. We choose between the single entry and multiple entry visa based on your actual travel plans, and prepare the itinerary and accommodation so they sit consistently with your funds.

Third, we manage it to a decision. If Immigration New Zealand asks for further information, which they do more often than most countries, we prepare the response within the deadline. A request for more evidence is a normal step, and answering it fully and on time is what keeps the file moving. When the visa is granted we confirm the entry type, the validity and the maximum stay so you can book with confidence.

What the officer looks at closely

Knowing where attention falls lets you prepare for it properly. These are the areas we spend the most time on:

FAQ

1. Which visa should I apply for, single or multiple entry?

If you are making one trip, the single entry visa allows a longer stay of up to 9 months within 18 months. If you plan to come and go, the multiple entry visa allows up to 6 months of stay within 12 months. We match the choice to your actual plans, so the request and the itinerary support each other.

2. Why six months of bank statements?

Immigration New Zealand wants to see how your money accumulated, not only that it is there today. It is the main difference between the New Zealand application and the Australian one, and it is why the preparation usefully starts earlier.

3. Is THB 100,000 a hard requirement?

It is a working guideline rather than a published rule, and it is per person. More suits longer trips, and the quality of the history matters alongside the number. We review your statements and tell you what else would round out the picture.

4. Someone in New Zealand is paying for my trip. Is that allowed?

Yes, with proper documentation: their financial evidence, their status in New Zealand, proof of your relationship and a clear statement of what they are covering. Documented sponsorship is a strength.

5. I am a foreigner living in Thailand. What do I need to show?

Your legal status here, your job, business or studies, your regular income and a concrete reason you will return to Thailand. This section carries more weight in a New Zealand application than in most others, so we prepare it in detail.

6. Do I need travel insurance?

It is not mandatory but it is strongly advisable, and it supports the impression of a well planned trip. Medical care in New Zealand is expensive for visitors.

7. Do I have to buy flights first?

No. A reservation and a clear itinerary are what is needed at application stage. Wait for the decision before purchasing.

8. How long does it take?

Processing times vary through the year. Because the six month financial history means some of the work happens before the application itself, contacting us around three months before you want to travel gives comfortable room.

9. Can I work in New Zealand on this visa?

No. You may study for up to three months, but not work. Working holiday and work visas are separate categories with their own requirements, and we will point you to the right one if that is your goal.

10. What if Immigration New Zealand asks for more documents?

That is a normal part of the process, not a rejection. What matters is answering completely and on time, and we prepare that response for you.

11. I was declined before. Can I apply again?

Yes. Send us the decline letter, which sets out which requirement was not established. We build the new file specifically around evidencing that point.

12. What exactly am I paying you for?

A thorough review of your six months of banking and the rest of your documents, a clear list of anything else worth obtaining, the right entry type chosen, your connections to Thailand documented, the application prepared and lodged, and any request for further information answered properly and on time. The decision belongs to Immigration New Zealand. Everything within your control, we handle.

New Zealand responds well to a file with a visible financial history and a clear picture of your life here. Send us your statements and documents and we will go through all of it properly, tell you what else is worth gathering, and build the application around it.

I highly recommend Thai Kru for your Visa needs in Thailand. I dealt with Khun Tarn. He was very knowledgeable, professional and courteous. He went above and beyond to secure my DTV Visa. Thai Kru has professional staff who know exactly what is required to secure any type of Visa in the right manner. They also have a number of valuable services that are extremely helpful to Foreigners coming to Thailand. I would also like to thank Numfhon as well. Jeff/Canada

I can not say enough good things about Thai Kru Visa Agency. I selected them for my DTV and was approved in 9 business days. Their attention to detail and communication with me was beyond my expectations! This agency gets 10 stars from me! When I was asked for further documentation, they were on it immediately! The process for me was a breeze. I am not good at organizing things, especially on the computer. I sent them the requested documents and they did everything else! Do not hesitate to use them for your Thai visa needs! Thai Kru, THANK YOU! You are the best!
